Frequently Asked
Questions

What you wonder about Village of Sciences events, application process, and village life.

Participation

Our events are designed for university students at all levels. However, the content, scope, and target audience of each event are also specified on the event page. You can apply for any event that interests you and fits your conditions.

Registration

Registrations start with the announcement of the events. You can register for an event using the REGISTER button on the event page. After your initial application, your name will be added to the Pre-Registration list. The pre-registration list is evaluated according to the criteria announced by the coordinator of each event, and the final registration list is created.

Registration

If you meet the requirements of the event, you can enter the Final Registration or Reserve Registration lists. These requirements are specified in the event announcement by the instructors. The final list is determined by the event coordinator according to the quota and criteria set for the event.

Registration

Final Registrations are made after the coordinator's approval. We announce the application results weekly to everyone who pre-registers. Those on the Reserve Registration list will be informed again depending on the registration status.

Content

The most up-to-date contents are announced by the Academic Board along with the events. Since the content of each event is different, we recommend that you examine each one individually.

Village Life

All summer events are one week long. After completing final registration, we expect you to arrive at the village on Sunday and stay at the Village until the following Sunday.

Content

Tough question! But we believe the answer will be completely different for each event and each participant. However, as a principle, when designing the contents of our events, we aim for participants to encounter perspectives they may have never thought about before or were unaware of, and to become acquainted with paths and methods they have not seen.

Fee

The Village of Sciences is a non-profit organization. But it needs resources to ensure its continuity. Therefore, participation in the programs is paid. The participation fee for the event is indicated on the event page.

The Village of Sciences aims to provide scholarships; however, the amount of the scholarship and how many people can benefit from it will be determined according to possibilities.

Fee

The participation fee covers tent accommodation within the Village campus, the use of all common areas, three meals and one snack. Of course, tea, water, and coffee are included.

Participation

Before some events, there may be studies or readings recommended for participants to do before coming to the Village. Doing these studies and readings before the events will increase their contribution to you.

Along with Final Registrations, our Village Directive is sent to the participant. We expect participants to follow the rules of the Directive.

We also suggest you become a supporter before becoming a participant: you can be a donor and/or volunteer, follow us on social media, and support spreading our announcements.

Content

We do not provide certificates to event participants. However, upon the participant's request, we can announce their participation on the event's page on our website. You can use this as a certificate if necessary.

Content

The success criteria of each event will be different. As a principle, success in the events will not be measured by an examination.
