Barış Parkan teaches philosophy at Middle East Technical University. She has received her PhD from The University of Texas at Austin. Her research interests include 19th c. German philosophy, Applied Ethics and Process Philosophy (Whitehead). She is the author of a book on Marx published by Say Yayinlari, and numerous national and international articles on process philosophy, 19th century German philosophy, business ethics, and social and political philosophy.
